I Heart Viral Marketing
“The Dark Knight” viral marketing is out to make the “Cloverfield” viral marketing its bitch. As of March 31st, the Clown Travel Agency site had nothing to it but a picture of a suitcase and a note that reads “Departure Date 4-01“. Now, you can go to the site and click that note and out comes a list of addresses and dates. You only have a few seconds to check that list before it catches fire and disappears. Then, you are given another site to visit, Acme Security. There, you are asked to enter your name, phone number, and email address. At this point, I don’t know what happens. I’m at work and I can’t have some goofy marketing deal call me up…it’s bad enough that I take small three to four minute increments and blow them typing this stuff.
So what happens at those addresses? Some fellows in Sao Paulo have found out and it is super cool. Check it all out over here.

UPDATE!! I took the liberty of getting a screenshot of the cities and addresses from the Clown Travel Agency. Click away for a larger image.
Those numbers?? They’re lock combinations! I bet you they’re lockers at bus stations / bowling alleys / what have you. The first numer is the locker number. I am nearly certain.
and if its stamped – well, I bet you the “prize” has been claimed.
This is either very cool or very scary…enter your phone number and your phone rings almost immediately, say your “password” and a mystery voice comes on the line. I must admit I was slightly creeped out.
I just checked – 4505 39th Ave SW in Seattle… is the address of West Seattle Bowl.
I was right. Tthey are lockers, and locker combinations.
Wow! It is so great/dorky that I can hardly stand it.
Nice info, added to favourites.
