Will Eddie Murphy Please Go Away Now?

According To This Review, “The Happening” Is S**t

Get it?

Ahem. It seems that this reviewer over on Collider says that the new M. Night Shyamalan flick, “The Happening” is awful. This is something that is quite, quite obvious if you watch the trailer. It looks awful. It’s a real bummer because I really dig Zooey Deschanel and was coming around on Marky Mark Wahlberg after “Invincible” and “The Departed”. Now, Shyamalan? That’s a different story.

What other filmmaker with this much promise has completely failed like Shyamalan? Shyamalan hit the jackpot with “The Sixth Sense”. Not only did it make a ton of cash, it was nominated for six Oscars. Then, he makes the underrated “Unbreakable”, which I really dig. I even like “Signs”. Then…”The Village“. Awful. “Lady In The Water” is so laughably terrible that I have yet to sit through the entire movie. It sure sounds like “The Happening” isn’t going to help the fallen star of M. Night Shyamalan.

Truthfully, I hope it really fails…typing Shyamalan over and over again is a beating.

I totally agree, although I might argue that Unbreakable is his best film. I was hoping The Happening would redeem him, but I guess not.

    Load. Blown.

I hated Unbreakable! But his last two weren’t great either. I’m still hoping against hope that The Happening will be good. The premise seems like an intriguing idea.

I just watched a clip from the movie. It was awful. Mark Wahlburg was so wooden, but the dialogue was also terrible.
