Will The Worst Present Day Disease Translate To Laughs?

In the past, Seth Rogen made unplanned pregnancy funny. The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Rogen will attempt to make cancer funny. Rogen has signed to star in “I’m With Cancer”, which is actually an autobiographical story written by Will Reiser, who battled cancer when he was only 25 years old.

This sounds like a semi-serious role for Rogen. I’m sure it will employ some humor, as it is being produced by Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Ben Karlin (head writer, executive producer of “The Daily Show”). However, there has to be some heavy moments in the flick. Could this be a dramedy turn for Rogen, in the same world as “Punch Drunk Love” for Adam Sandler?
