Take One Cup Of Talking Heads, Add A Tablespoon Of Morbidness…It’s Arcade Fire!

This album is sooo theatrical...but in a good way.

Today’s album is the great 2004 Arcade Fire album “Funeral”. This has become one of my favorite albums and I probably give it a go once a month. There isn’t really a skippable tune in the bunch…but “Haiti” comes closest.

This is an album that pulls off the rare feat of defeating those who want to listen to a track or two here and there. Every song flows so gracefully into the next that if I pick one song to listen to, say “Wake Up”, I’ll get half way through it and then have the overwhelming desire to just listen to the album all the way through.
