He Really Should Have Listened To Sonny

In one of the largest cases of life imitating art, the second-degree murder trial of Lillo Brancato Jr. gets rolling in New York today. Brancato is accused of murdering an off-duty police officer and the jury selection begins today.

Brancato played Calogero in “A Bronx Tale”, one of the more underrated mob movies ever. Not only did Brancato get to play Robert DeNiro’s son in the flick, DeNiro directed him in it. Brancato had a small, but cool part in the Tony Scott submarine flick “Crimson Tide” and a part on “The Sopranos”, in which he was killed by Tony…which is an acting honor really.

Cinematically Correct note: Ms. Cinematically Correct is so not on board with naming a child Calogero. I don’t see why not.
