The Reissue Of The Album That Changed It All For Me

In 1991, Pearl Jam saved my musical life. There was no doubt that I was staring down the barrel of Top 40 Hell. Sure, Pearl Jam wasn’t some obscure indie band (I had the Afghan Whigs for that) but they made me search for music that wasn’t being force fed to me on the enemy known as the radio.

Pearl Jam is going to reissue their debut classic “Ten” in March 2009. They are giving it the royal treatment as you can get a special package with the original album, an album of remixes by producer Brendan O’Brien, a DVD of the band’s MTV Unplugged show, the same albums on vinyl, and a mock cassette tape of the band’s original demos. I am a psycho-Pearl Jam fan…but even I don’t need a cassette tape of them.
