Is John Cusack Running Short On Cash?

PhotobucketJohn Cusack is going to star in a movie called “Hot Tub Time Machine”. Perhaps you should read that one more time. Let me help you out: John Cusack is going to star in a movie called “Hot Tub Time Machine”. The movie will follow a group of friends that are transported back to the 1980s…via a time traveling hot tub. Holy God. This is not a joke, this movie is really about that. One would have to hope that it can’t be that awful if Cusack signed on…but he did make “Serendipity”.

Could somebody please quickly tell John Cusack that he was Lloyd Dobler? He was Craig Schwartz. He was Martin Blank. He was David Shayne. He was Roy Dillon. He was Rob F’ing Gordon. Make him stop this before it is too late.

I can’t believe it! Who is advising this man and feeding him scripts? Whoever that is needs to be fired.

I actually wrote a blog about his poor choices a while back. I like the guy — as you said, he was Rob F’ing Gordon (and I might add Martin F’ing Blank) but what would make a man choose a script like Must Love Dogs??

With Hot Tub Time Machine, it sounds like he’s sunk to a new low. I guess we can hope that the title is some kind of joke, but given his choices in the last few years, that hope is slim.

For the sake of a man I consider to be a LEADER in my world….I hope to God that this movie is about a group of friends that reminisce about the past while sitting in a hot tub which then causes 80’s flashbacks to occur……can we hope for a plot like that?? I think it would be funny to watch Cusack in 80’s flashbacks. Other than that, my only explanation is…the economy is tough on everyone right now…?? yeah??

John is testing my love to the limit. I’ve endured some dross over the years and some toe-curlingly embarassing drivel just to gaze at him but this sounds like it might plumb the depths.

Is he just not offered anything of quality anymore?

Hey boys and girls give him a chance!

The movie is directed by Steve Pink whom he co-wrote Grosse Pointe Blank and High Fidelity, and the rest of the cast are great comic actors.

Seems like a project to make fun of those old 80´s movies they keep asking him in interviews like Better off Dead.

    I´ll wait and see…
