One Dylan Album On The 100 Best Singer/Songwriter Album List?

There is quite a bit of interesting stuff popping up online today, which is doing two things. First, it is keeping me from writing about “Lost”. Second, I am not working…but who really cares about that?

The editors at Amazon.com (whoever the hell they are) put together their 100 Greatest Singer/Songwriter Albums of All Time list. While a great many of their selections are fantastic, there is only one Bob Dylan album? Granted, it’s “Blonde On Blonde” at the top spot but shouldn’t the top ten be loaded with Dylan albums? Where is “Blood On The Tracks”? “Highway 61 Revisited”?

It is good to see some of my favorite albums ever on there. Most notably, Beck’s “Sea Change”, Elliott Smith’s “Either/Or”, Jeff Buckley’s “Grace”, Iron & Wine’s “Our Endless Numbered Days”…oh, and Ryan Adams’ “Heartbreaker”.

Cinematically Correct note: Look for a new Bob Dylan album next month! Sweet!
