Russell Crowe Loses The Gut & Gains A Bow & Arrow…Where’s The Feather In The Cap Though?

"Has anyone seen that Costner wanker?"

"Has anyone seen that Costner wanker?"

McPaper has the first look at Russell Crowe as Robin Hood in Ridley Scott’s aptly-titled, “Robin Hood”. He’s got the “Gladiator” hair going, so that must mean he is back to being a ripped-up badass in this flick. Oddly enough, I was getting used to seeing the chunky Russell Crowe from “American Gangster” and “State Of Play” (which I saw this weekend, review later today).

Was Robin Hood a man of the people or…a socialist? Hmm…here is a quote from producer Brian Grazer: “He’s trying to create equality in a world where there are a lot of injustices. He’s a crusader for the people, trying to reclaim some of the ill-gotten gains of the wealthy. That’s a universal theme.Distribution of wealth!

Cinematically Correct note: Who was your favorite Robin Hood? Personally, I like the fox from the 1973 Disney cartoon.

Cary Elwes under the direction of Mel Brooks (genius)and the awsomeness of Dom Deluse as Don Giovanni. as usual Mel taking shots at everyone and everything including Hollywood. maybe not the best Robin Hood but the funniest not counting Costner, of course.
