The Impossible Task Of Filling The Shoes Of Chuck Sheen

If the remake of “Red Dawn” proves anything, it’s that Hollywood’s Originality Account is completely bankrupt. Sure, as a youngster, I thought that movie was off the charts awesome. Now…not so much. It is freaking terrible.

The cast for the remake doesn’t sound much better than the actual idea of the remake. Chris Hemsworth, Kirk’s dad in the new “Star Trek”, has got the Swayze role. Some fella named Josh Peck has the unenviable task of playing the younger brother played by Charlie Sheen in the original and some chick from “Friday Night Lights”, Adrianne Palicki, is in for Jennifer Gray’s part. So as you can see, there are some big time A-list actors lining up for this remake.

Cinematically Correct note: “Red Dawn”‘s original writer/director is John Milius…on whom the Coen Brothers based Walter from “The Big Lebowski”.
