Tiredhead Quick Hits…Conan & Excited Pandas, The Smoke Monster Poster, Seth MacFarlane’s Teddy Bear & More
Oddly enough, I have a bad feeling about tonight’s episode. I stay pretty spoiler free but I read enough to know there are rumblings of a massive turn of events on “Lost” coming quite soon. I’m talking an original Lostie is going to eat it. Sad face.
In other nonsensical pop news…
- Conan visited Eugene, OR last night on the first stop of his “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television” tour. The pictures of the Self Pleasuring Panda are quite funny, but this reviewer didn’t dig on the show so much.
- It looks like the Billy Beane book about OPS, “Moneyball”, is finally going to be made into a film. It’s going to star Brad Pitt as Beane and Jonah Hill as Beane’s stats guru, Paul De Podesta. Not only does it have that star power, Steven Soderbergh is lined up to direct the script written by Aaron Sorkin. Yowza. If you are a baseball junkie, this movie is will be your heroin.
- I’ve been wondering how long before Seth MacFarlane jumped into the movie world. It looks like that time is now as there are talks that he will direct a movie about a grown man whose childhood teddy bear comes to life. Naturally, MacFarlane will voice the teddy bear. Not sure if it will try to kill everybody like that Chuckie doll.
- Who could forget my INXS post from last week? I know, I know…where’s my Pulitzer right? Ahem. Well, Beck must also be an INXS fan as his Record Club has covered their album “Kick”. Not only that, it features Wilco, Fiest, Nigel Godrich, Devandra Bernhardt. Oh yeah…and Beck Hanson.
